Southover Grange is a beautiful 16th century house in Lewes, built largely of stone from the nearby St. Pancras Priory, ruined on Henry VIII's orders during the Dissolution.Once home to diarist John Evelyn, it nos houses the local Register Office, a nursery, and a ceramics workshop.
The gardens are huge, and especially lovely during the summer, when the various flower beds, including large dahlia and rose gardens, are in full bloom.
I can often be found wandering the gardens, practicing my close-up techniques on the unsuspecting flora and fauna!
